History

Ten Thousand Waves Tattoo Gallery was started by Robert Atkinson and Jojo Ackermann who both have been tattooing since 1992. Both are well versed in american and Japanese themed tattooing well as contemporary art styles and more.Ten Thousand Waves Tattoo Gallery started as a tattoo studio to do large concept tattooing in a space that inspires and evolves regularly. Since then other artists have been making their way to work here. We have Manny Lorenzana, a 10 year tattooer who loves to do it in all styles, Karen Costleigh also a 10 year tattooer who does great lettering and solid traditional, PLUS!! many more artists who come regularly to bring their energy to our studio such as Justin Larson, Em Scott,Ross Vinstien plus international artists from allover the world!!. We can do pretty much anything, given the freedom to create your custom request we make sure there will always be more high energy and elevated attention to the tattoo. Collectively tattooing since 1992, we have years of street shop experience and custom, freehand expertise to offer as well. All the years of doing flash and tattooing on the spot has given us the tools to be able to do custom tattooing at the highest level. The styles we love to do are clean readable images, one shot,single session small pieces ,and large scale body work such as back pieces and sleeves. The type of tattooing we do is in the traditional method. We do not do photo realism but, love doing black and grey tattooing as well. Please take some time to look and see the work. Looking at the tattoos we've selected to be here on this site will give you an understanding of the type of tattooing we feel is our strong suit. All the paintings in the art work section are either for sale or sold already. We rarely make prints, but are always available to make a painting by commission.
