Temple Knesseth Israel is one of the oldest Conservative congregations in Los Angeles, having originated in a neighborhood home in the early 1920s. The congregation moved to its current location on Vermont Avenue in 1955 and continues to thrive under the leadership of Rabbi Robert Elias and Cantor Lee Greenberg.
Offering traditional services in Hebrew and English, Temple Knesseth Israel welcomes a diverse community from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
