History

As the proud owner of TMFCC, with an A.S. in Early Childhood Education and over 13 years of experience working in a child care setting with children ages 0 to 12, it was a dream to provide the highest quality of care from my home. I am passionate about working with children and the families in our community. I feel that with every family that I serve, I am able to make a difference for our youngest community.

Specialties

Teachable Moments Family Child Care is a professional home child care, serving the Community for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our philosophy at Teachable Moments Family Child Care is based upon the development of the whole child. Using the philosophy of High Scope, we strongly believe that children reach their fullest potential by developing a positive self-concept through a balance of self and teacher directed activities within our daily schedule. The children's choice and interest are at the priority of the curriculum, which provides a learning opportunity through their own choices of creating plans and making decisions. With the philosophy of High Scope and academic opportunities, each child will explore, learn and grow at their own pace.
