History

Tanya Joy was destined to make her passion for Pilates and her life long interest in taking care of your skin her career. She quit her managerial position in 2001 and opened the doors to Tanya Joy Skincare & Pilates and never looked back. She is truely happy with her choice in careers and is happy to help people with their fitness and their skin. She recently opened 2 new locations. Her Old Town office specializes in Esthetics. She also moved into Core Personal Training Studio in Kensington with her Pilates & Yoga business. The address there is 4185 Adams Ave. San Diego CA 92116. She also travels to homes or offices for Yoga classes on demand.

Specialties

Tanya Joy is a woman of many hats, and does each one of them well. She is a CA Licensed Esthetician, a certified Pilates Reformer & Yoga instructor, Trained in Tuning Forks, and a Level 2 Integrative Health Practitioner and Certified Health Coach. As an Esthetician, she has specialized in Custom treatments for 20 years. She also does Microdermabrasion, Hydrodermabrasion, Oxygen treatments, and safely uses a variety of enzymes and acids for skin peels. If you have sensitive skin, she also handles that skin type with ease. As a Pilates Instructor, she has taught privately and with small groups for the past 20 years. Any of her students can tell you, some from the very beginning, she always keeps it interesting, fun, and upbeat. As a Yoga Instructor Tanya enjoys sharing her positive energy with her students through meditation, mantras, and positive affirmations and likes to work with tuning forks and chakra balancing. In 2021 Tanya finished her schooling to become an Integrative Health Practitioner and Certified Health Coach. She works with a great doctor to be able to bring subclinical labs to anyone in the country and be able to go over these labs with her clients helping them to identify and understand where the root cause of their health concern may be and then suggest a plan of action to help.
