History

Sweetwater Ranch was developed on the east side of Lancaster to provide quality English equestrian training. We consider dressage a foundation for ALL riding and training. Monica Whitmer is well versed in most disciplines from Traditional and Western dressage, Hunters, Jumpers, Western equitation, pleasure, trail, and gymkhana. She works with all ages and skill level of riders And all breeds of horses. She has local, state and national awards spread over 30 years. She was Reserve Champion at the California Western Dressage Assn at 2nd level in 2015. She has won classes with Arabians at Scottsdale. She has a 32 year history of winning championships with the High Desert Horseman's Assn. She has awards from the California Dressage Society for a wide number of horses. Students from Sweetwater Ranch have won local and state awards. Her 4H horse project youth attended the 4H State classic for the first time in 2016 and they came home with 6 Championships and reserve championship

Specialties

Monica Whitmer offers a full service equestrian facility providing riding lessons, horse training, and boarding. We focus on youth and beginners, but can help experienced riders develop more advanced skills. Our lesson horses range from safe beginner horses to horses capable of 3rd level dressage, Western Dressage, Hunters, Jumpers, as well as trail and gymkhana. We are a family friendly environment with quality facilities. We welcome people to come watch our lessons and meet our horses.
