The creative gene is not new for me. My family has a long list of creative endeavors. My greatest influence was my talented and courageous Mother. Dagmar Thiel immigrated to America as a fashion designer. Later receiving a Master's Degree in Interior Design and then being one of the first female designers to see the importance of obtaining a General Contractors License, designing several homes showcased in the SF Bay Area Home Tours. Mom, I carry your torch! I have been extremely blessed in working on more than 50 projects in my first five years. I believe my talent and skill sets shined through even in an economy that was suffering. Extremely excited about the next 20!

Susan Thiel Design Build is a boutique interior design firm specializing in residential design builds, investment property re-design and commercial upgrades. Susan has completed residential projects in Pelican Point, Ocean Ranch, Palmilla, Perazul, Corona Del Mar, Crystal Cove, Monarch Beach, Marble Head, San Juan Capistrano, Beverly Park, Trousdale Estates and West Hollywood. Her commercial design experience ranges from small business office upgrades, exterior improvements to whole office building interior design. Susan pays special attention to the unique architectural features of a property as well as high return improvements. Her designs are completely unique per project and location. Susan offers design and construction project management services.
