American Whitewater Expeditions has been operational for more than 25 years and is one of the premier white-water rafting companies on the American River. Located in Sunland, Calif., the adventure company has provided its services to more than 185,000 rafters. It offers camping facilities that include indoor restrooms and showers, a swimming pool, a fishing pond stocked with bass and rainbow trout and two regulation horseshoe pits. It also provides a volleyball court, flat grass-covered campsites with picnic tables and recreational vehicle spaces with or without hookups.
