Sundown Elementary School is a learning center that is governed by the Westside Union School District. Established in 1994, the school serves more than 1,050 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its staff includes psychologists, nurses, and speech, language and hearing specialists. The school operates language arts, math, science and social studies departments. Sundown Elementary School also conducts classes for students with physical disabilities. The school operates a student council and band and supports programs in visual and performing arts. The school additionally offers before- and after-school child care services that are sponsored by YMCA. Sundown Elementary School is located in Lancaster, Calif.
