Suela's Soul Food

History

Chef Suela: I'm from Hatcherville, a section of Niles, Michigan. In a town of 7,000 people, I was lucky enough to learn to cook from my Grandma Mae, and my family was known as the best cooks in town since forever. She taught me everything, how to cook, how to be a woman, a mother, and gave me recipes that have been whispered from Mother to Daughter for over a century. Now I share them with you! Chef GiantDogg: I'm from Torremolinos, a small town in Malaga on the Southern Coast of Spain. I learned to cook from so many different cultures. My Dad, who owned a Bar/Restaurant in our town, taught me Spanish Food and flavors. My Godmother taught me recipes of incalculable age from Mexico. My Mama Teresa and Sister Dena taught me to cook Southern Style Soul Food. Somewhere along the way, I naturally combined these into some of my signature dishes. We bring our love for each other, our families and our cultures to every dish!
