History

Jerry Storz, the founder of SMC, Storz Realty and numerous investment syndicates, began his long real estate career in Northern California in 1957. After 13 years brokering the purchase and sale of residential, resort, marina and hospitality properties, he made the auspicious transition to specialize in the mobile home park industry. In 1971 Storz purchased its first park with an initial group of Investors. Shortly therafter another park was purchased using an Investment pool as well. This trend went on and on for decades, including mobile home, manufactured home, and RV parks not only in California but also Nevada, Arizona and Oregon. In order to best tend his and the investors' assets, Jerry created a management services firm in 1971, which was later incorporated as Storz Management Company. SMC grew and evolved to not only manage parks for Jerry's affiliated investment partnerships, but also for many third-party park owners who demanded the utmost level of professional care.
