Stockton Special Education

The Special Education Department, a part of the Stockton Unified School District, offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options for students with physical and mental disabilities. The department offers a special education program for students up to the age of 21. It has a staff of psychologists, social services assistants, program specialists, consultants and technicians. Located in Stockton, Calif., the Stockton Unified School District operates more than 50 schools. The district has a staff of over 4,000 employees that serves nearly 38,500 students. Its academic curricula include language arts, English, history, social studies, science, mathematics, visual arts, music, reading, writing and physical education.
