Dr. Colquhoun has a special interest and expertise in surgery of the Liver, Pancreas and Biliary tract. His training in surgery was at UCLA and included fellowships in both Surgical Oncology and Multi-Organ Transplantation. Early in his career he founded a new liver transplant program at the University of California Davis before being recruited to Cedars-Sinai where he directed the Liver Transplant Program for next 20 years. During that time, he also established and directed a Fellowship authorized by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons for training in both Liver & kidney transplantation as well as Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery. A proud recipient of teaching awards, Dr. Colquhoun is passionate about education and has lectured at the UCLA medical school for over 18 years while participating in the training of a generation of residents and fellows throughout his career. He has served on medical school admissions and many committees for the ASTS, AST, AASLD and UNOS.
