Steve Stockmal Music

History

I have spent my entire life performing, writing, recording, and teaching music...and traveled around the world for over 20 years as a touring professional musician and vocalist. I teach drums, bass, guitar, trombone, and music theory. I compose, write lyrics and want to sell my songs to any artist or film. I write and publish my own method books for my lessons. It's not that we necessarily follow them verbatim, but it gives us a path and reference material. The main objectives are: 1. Basic knowledge and good habits (physically, and study wise). 2. Learn songs, scales, chords, techniques. 3. Follow each individuals dream, goal, inspiration of each. The most best compliment that parents give me is how much their kids are enjoying their lessons, and how much progress they are making. No matter how many times I hear that, it makes my day every time !!!

Specialties

Students are introduced to their instruments in a fun and understandable way. Technique, music theory, and reading are taught through song form, which creates a strong foundation and love for music. Fun fun fun, while getting the job done.
