History
The Stetson Ridge Music School opened its doors in 2014. Sandy Israel, the head teacher, moved from Brooklyn NY where he'd been teaching and performing for 15 years. The new school is located in a studio in Sandy's beautiful family home in Kentfield, and has grown steadily since inception - mostly through word of mouth.
Specialties
The Stetson Ridge Music School offers expert instruction in 5-string banjo, guitar, piano, drums and more, along with band and private coaching for musicians of all levels and ages. Beginners a specialty! Head teacher Sandy Israel is a veteran teacher with thousands of lessons under his belt, a loyal body of students, and an effective and fun methodology all his own. He specializes in getting folks playing quickly on songs they enjoy. Sandy is also a performing musican (banjo) and band leader, with several CD's, so he knows what it takes to get you recorded and on stage. Sandy teaches out of his lovely family home in Kentfield.
