Sterling Dance Theatre

History

Sterling Dance Theatre is in the business of developing confidence and integrity through the art of dance. We also have trained some pretty great dancers! See our video at our web-site. We provide quality training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop and Lyrical since 1989. We have classes for ages 3-adult and our philosophy is to provide training in an atmosphere free of stress and with a lot of encouragement and love. We feel that the confidence and self-esteem a dancer learns is equally important to the actual training itself. In fact, it's priceless. Director Darlene Thorne (former owner of the San Jose Ballet School) brings a wealth of knowledge to the studio not only in dance but also in technical theater, design and execution in all aspects of performance. Sterling Dance Theatre is an institution that focuses on proper dance technique culminating in an amazing, professional Showcase each Fall at the Santa Clara Convention Center Theater.
