HistoryThe Saturday Center was created in 1982 by Doctors Judith Davenport, Judith Sherven, and Judith Swerling. They were soon joined by a number of other professionals who provided both office space and supervision to the Center's therapists. Throughout its history, the Center has been staffed by psychological interns, psychological assistants and marriage & family therapist interns who are supervised by a group of experienced, licensed private practitioners dedicated to the practice and teaching of psychotherapy. In 1987, under the Directorship of Bruce Brodie, Ph.D., the Center became a psychological corporation. Donald J. Seldeen, Ph.D., brought the Center to its current location in 1994. It continues to provide the type of training and psychotherapy envisioned by its founders.SpecialtiesThe Saturday Center provides a wide range of short-term and long-term therapeutic services for adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We provide quality psychodynamic psychotherapy to persons of modest means.
