State of Jefferson Brewfest

History

The State of Jefferson Brewfest began in Mount Shasta, California and was held in that city until 2012. It was begun by the Mount Shasta Rotary Club as a way of promoting local breweries and the North State. In 2013, the Brewfest was taken over by the Dunsmuir Rotary Club and the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce as another way to promote the town, the county and our region. It has quickly become one of Dunsmuir's most popular events and we are proud and excited to continue this event's long and successful history.

23rd State of Jefferson Brewfest - August 15th, 2015 The State of Jefferson Brewfest is proudly entering its 23rd year of existence in Siskiyou County. Sponsored by the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce and the Dunsmuir Rotary Club, the event was previously held in Mount Shasta at several different locations. The Brewfest moved to beautiful Dunsmuir, CA, two years ago and is poised to expand and grow upon the past two years' amazing successes. Held on the historic Dunsmuir Ball Park field, in the shadow of majestic Mount Shasta, the Brewfest celebrates the beer, breweries and brewers of Northern California and Southern Oregon, as well as highlighting quality brewers across the West Coast. This year we anticipate nearly 50 breweries to participate in this incredible event. Additionally, the Brewfest highlights and showcases local music, food and arts as part of its goal to promote our area's awe inspiring natural beauty and the independent spirit of the folks that choose to call this place home. We hope that you will have a chance to join us this year and appreciate the world class beers, wonderful people and the spectacular place that we call the 'State of Jefferson', Dunsmuir and Siskiyou County!
