Staci Chiou Piano Studio

History

Staci Chiou is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University where she received a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance under the tutelage of renowned educator Roza Kostrewska Yoder. Staci is an award-winning pianist who has taken master classes with some of the world's most famous pianists, such as Dina Joffe, Eteri Andjaparidze, Natalia Troull, Edward Wolanin, and Vitaly Margulis. She currently serves as the Branch Chair for the Certificate of Merit and board member of the Music Teacher's Association of California, San Gabriel Valley branch. Staci has taught piano privately for the past 12 years, working exclusively with children ages 4-18 of varying levels. Current and former students have successfully excelled in the Certificate of Merit and ABRSM exam. She strives to create a learning environment that encourages high standards of excellence while making the learning process fun and inspiring for the student.

Specialties

Private lessons for ages 4-18 of all levels! Each student's custom curriculum will consist of classical repertoire, ear training, sight reading, and music theory. The goal is to give a well-rounded and strong foundation in classical music training. The younger students will start off with folk songs they can sing along with and other aural developmental exercises. Please inquire for more information regarding rates and location.
