St. John's Oratory, located at the historic Fishermen's Seamen's Memorial Chapel in San Francisco, has been offering the only fully traditional pre-Vatican II Roman Catholic Latin Mass and Divine Office with Gregorian chant in the Bay Area since 1992. Operated by the Society of St. John the Apostle, the Oratory is committed to preserving the authentic practices of the Catholic faith as they were before the changes introduced in the 1960s.
In addition to its liturgical services, St. John's Oratory serves as a center for promoting traditional Latin Gregorian chant through the St. John Schola of San Francisco.
