St. Francis of Assisi Preschool

History

Our preschool is dedicated to serving the Evergreen community of San Jose and beyond. The idea originated in 1995 as a means of responding to the needs of young families in Evergreen area. That idea was realized in 2003 when the doors of St. Francis opened. Today, St. Francis Preschool has grown into a solid educational foundation for our community. The testimonies of our former parents prove when our children graduated, they were ready for the challenges of the neighboring kindergartens.

Specialties

St. Francis of Assisi Preschool offers a developmentally appropriate program that allows children to learn at their own pace through hands on activities. Our program develops the whole child in an atmosphere of encouragement, affection, and creativity. Our preschool sets the foundation for Catholic learning with a curriculum that is centered on Catholic values. We emphasize values through song, stories, and prayer. It is our mission to help children learn and respect themselves and others, to celebrate diversity and uniqueness. We believe that by allowing children to make choices, and by giving them the opportunity to learn through experimentation, we will help them develop a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.
