Circuit Network was founded in 1984 by four contemporary solo choreographers seeking joint management services. By 1987, each of these artists had acquired the infrastructure to produce their home seasons and independently manage their organizations. Nola Mariano was hired to create a national touring program as part of the services Circuit offered. Over the past two decades Circuit has been instrumental in the successful careers of such well-known artists as Contraband, Culture Clash, Guillermo G mez-Pe a/La Pocha Nostra, and James Luna, booking national and international engagements, providing organizational development services, and working with represented artists and venues to produce events locally in San Francisco.In January 2006, Circuit doubled its capacity by hiring Elisabeth Beaird as co-director, enabling the organization to enhance both its earned and contributed revenue through increased booking for our roster artists, fundraising for project development, and more effective financial management. Composer/musician Miya Masaoka joined the roster in July 2006 ; in 2008, Circuit added media artist John Jota Lea os, Butoh choreographer Ledoh/Salt Farm, and performance artist Kristina Wong.In 2009, Circuit Network relocated our offices to Project Artaud in the Mission District of San Francisco. Within this lively and stimulating environment, we are committed to strengthening our relationships with past and future presenting partners. Cultura y Arte Nativa de las Americas (CANA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Francisco, CA. They are the driving force behind Carnaval San Francisco, a vibrant cultural celebration that showcases the rich diversity of Latin American and Caribbean traditions through special events, a grand parade, and a gallery. CANA is dedicated to promoting and preserving the arts and culture of the Americas, providing opportunities for participation, and fostering community engagement. With a team of dedicated coordinators and volunteers, CANA organizes and manages the logistics of the festival, parade, and various special events. Mrs. Shriver's vision has grown into one of the largest and most successful sports and volunteer organizations in the world. There are Chapters in every state of America and in more than 140 countries worldwide serving more than one-million Special Olympics athletes. Special Olympics Northern California Special Olympics Northern California is proud to serve more than 13, 000 individuals with intellectual disabilities. From the Oregon border to Monterey and Tulare counties, our athletes have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports trainings and competitions that take place throughout the year. In order to prepare athletes for competition, they must attend a minimum of eight practices to insure they are prepared to compete. Our Program Headquarters, located in Pleasant Hill oversees the staff in various regional offices in Northern California who are responsible for managing the local volunteer area programs. There are training and competition opportunities year-round within Special Olympics Northern California. Our programs are free to all eligible athletes and are possible thanks to the generous support from individuals and businesses who believe in Special Olympics athletes. We are not a United Way agency. Financial support comes almost exclusively from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations.
