Founded in 1924, the Southwestern Academy is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational, college preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades 6 through 12. It offers academic programs in English, earth science, Spanish, computer literacy, world cultures and geography, humanities, U.S. history and economics. The academy additionally offers courses in physics, British literature, biology, mathematics and physical education. The Southwestern Academy employs psychologists who provide counseling, testing and crisis intervention services. It also offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, hockey, soccer, football, basketball and golf. The academy offers other activities that include hiking, camping, mountain climbing, skiing, fishing, trail biking, canoeing, water skiing, boating, swimming, horseback riding and roller skating. The Southwestern Academy is located in San Marino, Calif.

The teachers here are wonderful and really go above and beyond. the classes are small so each student can get the help they need. Lots of field trips and experiences for the students.

The worst school you can possibly attend. The dorm mothers smoke and they are really uneducated. I just learned some stuff in Ms. Jarchow's class in my 2 years at Southwestern. The students don't...
