History

SCGRR was founded in 2008 with an innovative vision for rehoming rescued golden retrievers. Each dog in rescue is assigned a representative...an agent that is a highly trained volunteer. That person is responsible for understanding the personality, needs and issues of the dog and ultimately working with the foster family to select the perfect family to meet the needs of the dog. The rescue is 100% volunteer and foster driven, and is managed by an operating board also made up of volunteers. It is a 501c3 charity that relies on donations and other fundraising efforts.
