South Pasadena High School is home to the SPHS Mediators, a peer mediation group dedicated to resolving conflicts among students in a peaceful and effective manner. Their mission is to enhance campus culture while providing resources on mental wellness and educating peers about various mental health issues and stress relief tactics.
Utilizing the Cadre approach for mediation, the SPHS Mediators aim to not only address immediate conflicts but also foster a positive environment that extends beyond the school. Through initiatives such as workshops and community events, they strive to shift the culture of the South Pasadena community towards a more constructive and supportive atmosphere.
