New Buses in Service! Sonoma County Transit recently introduced ten new buses into service. The new Orion VII natural gas powered coaches are well equipped for your county commute with high back seats, reading lamps and parcel racks. Soon the fleet with also be equipped with On-Board WiFi. The new buses are operating throughout the county on intercity routes 20, 30, 44, 48 & 60. Connecting Sonoma County Sonoma County Transit's intercity route network links all Sonoma County cities and most small communities with Santa Rosa, where transfers to local and regional transit services can be made at the Santa Rosa Transit Mall. All of Sonoma County Transit's 30' and 40' coaches operate on clean natural gas. Natural gas is a clean alternative fuel that costs less than diesel and gasoline alternatives. Sonoma County Transit is the only transit system in the San Francisco Bay Area that operates an all natural gas powered heavy-duty bus fleet. Sonoma County Paratransit Sonoma County Paratransit provides door-to-door ADA paratransit service that meets the requirements of the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act ( ADA ). Sonoma County Paratransit operates within the same service areas, and hours of service, as Sonoma County Transit's fixed-route service Sonoma County Transit's coach-style buses offer free On-Board WiFi. Buses 332 thru 341 are typically deployed on Route 20, 30, 48 and 60 express trips. All Sonoma County Transit buses are equipped with front loading bicycle racks capable of accommodating either two or three bicycles. Passengers are responsible for loading, securing and unloading bicycles according to instructions provided on the racks. The Summer Cruisin Pass is now on sale for the summer of 2010. The pass is good from June 1 through August 31, 2010 for kids 18 and under and can be used on any Sonoma County Transit Route for only $23. For the first time this year, we are offering a joint Summer Cruisin Pass for both Sonoma County Transit and Petaluma Transit for $35. This pass is good for any Sonoma County Transit and Petaluma Transit Route throughout the summer for kids 18 and under. Both passes can be purchased on-line, by mail, by phone or in person at our office or Petaluma Transit.

Sonoma County Transit Authority continues to park their Buses, in a legally marked, Handicap Parking Space, on West Napa St., at Broadway. Not one SCTA bus that parks here has Handicap license...
