Sonia provides a safe environment coupled with active listening to establish a trusting rapport with her clients. She uses evidence based practice to treat the identified diagnosis and meet her client's specific needs. Sonia attended school at California State University Long Beach. Over the past five years she have been practicing as a nurse practitioner in several settings including inpatient, outpatient, residential and long term care, focusing on the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar d/o, PTSD, schizophrenia, OCD substance abuse and dementia. Collectively Sonia has 30 years of clinical experience and was first trained in healthcare at LAC/USC level 1 trauma center allowing her to develop efficient assessment skills, effective critical thinking and a compassionate bedside manner. Sonia encourages her patients and families to actively participate in their treatment plans.
