SOMAcentral was founded by Ken T, (previously with Apple, Etrade, and Upwork) in 2010 at Pier 38 in San Francisco. The primary goal being to provide office and open desk seating options to young growing startups at affordable prices. In the past 7 years SOMAcentral has seen hundreds of innovative companies grow into successful businesses, including major names such as Instagram, Mashable, Task Rabbit, Etsy, and many more. SOMAcentral currently has two locations in San Francisco which provide a supportive environment which encourages teams to grow their idea from the initial stages to a mature entity with traction in the market.
