History

A two and a half year old toddler, diagnosed with an eye problem, and the recommended treatment wasn't covered by insurance. Weekly treatments cost $45 and with the holidays around the corner, his parents could afford treatments or presents, not both. The child's mother, Kim J., trained as a Physical Therapist, but presently a stay-at-home mom, knew that when she worked as a department director, there was a need for local temporary staffing help. She placed a few phone calls to local out-patient clinics inquiring if they ever needed an extra hand with patient care. The following week Kim was treating patients in a clinic. She went from homemaker to corporate president in 3 days. In 2005, Social Service Professionals was created, extending our reputation for providing outstanding and dedicated personnel to a new population of clients. Later that year, Social Service Professionals became the first Social Work staffing company in California to be certified by The Joint Commission.
