About Dr. Minal MehtaDr. Minal Mehta is a board certified physician who specializes in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology. The doctor and her staff serve the residents of Fountain Valley, California and many nearby communities, including Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Westminster, Santa Ana, and Anaheim. She has over 18 years of experience serving the community as a licensed OB/GYN. At her office, the doctor uses state of the art diagnostic tools and treatment options to provide her patients with the best medical care possible. She performs deliveries at Hoag Hospital, Orange Coast Memorial, and Fountain Valley Regional.Dr. Mehta received her medical degree in 1998 when she graduated from Chicago Medical School. At that time, she turned her interest toward her chosen area of practice. She specializes in treating OB/GYN patients who are high risk as well as those who have problems with fertility and conception.About Dr. Al-AzawiDr. Al-Azawi earned her Bachelors degree in Biology and Masters degree in Cell Biology from Oakland University in Michigan. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. After completing medical rotations in Florida and Michigan, she attended the SoCal ObGyn residency program at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn Michigan. Dr. Al-Azawi moved to California to do her fellowship in SoCal ObGyn Hospitalist at the University of California Irvine.Throughout her years in training, Dr. Al-Azawi received multiple awards for her medical knowledge and surgical skills. She was involved in the teaching of medical students and residence and conducted multiple research studies focused on improving patient quality of care in Labor and Delivery.In addition to staying current and up-to-date with the latest SoCal ObGyn treatments and health care recommendations, Dr. Al-Azawi is skilled in minimally invasive gynecological surgery with the da Vinci robotic system.
