Six Harmonies

History

Even with over 20 years of experience each, Miranda Warburton and Jennifer Minor still reflect on their roots in learning Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Before opening 6 Harmonies in NorCal Miranda and Jennifer each had independent private practices and each successfully completed extensive apprenticeship training and studies in Chinese medicine (including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, Chinese Orthopedic Massage, and Chinese Herbal Medicine) in conjunction with advanced studies in CranioSacral Therapy, Traditional Thai Massage, Tai Chi, Qi gong, and Chinese dietary therapy. Our medicine is based on the traditional Chinese understanding that for practitioners to have sufficient Qi (energy) and strength to treat the ailments of others, it is necessary to physically cultivate their own energy through the Chinese internal martial arts (Tai Chi, Hsing-I, Bagua, & Qi Gong).

Specialties

* At Six Harmonies we combine Acupuncture with CranioSacral Therapy and Chinese Orthopedic Massage (tuina) for more effective treatment and relaxing experience. * Cupping, moxibustion, herbal remedies, qi gong exercises, and nutritional recommendations are also part of our sessions when appropriate to further support your healing process. * We are a general practice clinic so we are highly skilled in working with a wide range of conditions. We also offer specialized expertise in working with infants and children, as well as addressing neurological conditions, physical and emotional trauma, sports injury, and pain. * Six Harmonies Traditional Medicine Center is not your average acupuncture clinic. Our expert practitioners are also professors, offer continuing education classes for healthcare professionals, acupuncture and massage students, and participate in comprehensive therapy programs combining CranioSacral Therapy, Acupuncture, and Dolphin Assisted Therapy.
