We usually park in the lots right between the beach and the coast guard pier ($2.50 per hour), which gives us excellent access to the waterfront trail. If you come here doing the day you can enjoy...

Nice little quiet park where you can hear the sea lions. Great stop along the waterfront trail. All in all, fantastic views of shoreline real estate.
