Founded in 1996, HealTherapy is a private agency that contracts with the County of Siskiyou Behavioral Health Services to provide mental health care services to children and families of Siskiyou County in California. The agency offers services to improve learning skills, such as direction following, sequencing ability, task organization and the tolerance of constructive criticism. It also provides services for fine and gross motor skill development. HealTherapy is accredited through the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association. It supports the Horse Program, which includes opportunities for clients to work and interact with horses in a variety of ways, including grooming, herd observation, riding, and exercises and games.
