SFC was formed in 1996 by a dedicated group of volunteers who wanted to ensure the landscapes of their beloved Sierra foothills remained in their natural state.
Specialties
Sierra Foothill Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit land trust that preserves and restores legacy landscapes in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Our mission: The grasslands, foothills, and forests between Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks provide land for farms and ranches, a home for native plants and wildlife, and a source of clean water. Sierra Foothill Conservancy honors our natural and cultural heritage by protecting these resources and ensuring that present and future generations will continue to experience and enjoy the land in this region.

Amazing hike on the Discovery Trail! Cool and knowledgeable volunteer guides. About three and a half miles over the course of a few hours.
