The SHORINJI KEMPO Peninsula Branch in San Mateo, California, has been offering training in the martial art of Shorinji Kempo since its establishment in 2004. Led by Yoshi Karahashi, a 6th Dan black belt with over 35 years of experience, the branch provides a welcoming environment for both children and adults to develop self-confidence, make new friends, and experience personal growth through the practice of Shorinji Kempo.
Approved by the World Shorinji Kempo Organization, the Peninsula Branch is located in the central area of the San Francisco Peninsula, approximately 20 miles south of San Francisco. Operating on a non-profit basis, the branch is driven by a passion for Shorinji Kempo and its ideals, with fees collected solely used to cover the branch's operational costs and related activities.
