Ship 550 Malolo

Ship 550 Malolo is a Sea Scout troop based in Long Beach, CA, with a long-standing history in the local community and the Neptune Squadron. Led by Skipper Albert Guerra and a team of experienced scouters, the ship offers youth aged 13 to 20 a unique sailing program that emphasizes adventure, skill development, and lifelong friendships.

Anchored by their 70' sailing ketch, the Maui Diamond, Ship 550 organizes various activities such as sailing trips to Catalina and San Diego, as well as engaging in high adventure camps and community service projects. Sponsored by the Los Cerritos Wetland Stewards and supported by the Long Beach cruising club, CBYC, the ship fosters a passion for the outdoors while promoting education and conservation efforts in Southern California.
