The International Shinkendo Federation, headquartered at the Honbu Dojo located in Boyle Heights, California, is dedicated to teaching authentic Japanese swordsmanship under the guidance of founder Obata Toshishiro. With a curriculum that includes sword-drawing, solo forms, partnered sparring, and test-cutting, the organization offers a comprehensive introduction to the art of Shinkendo.
