The Shia Ithnaasheri Islamic Jamaat of Los Angeles (SIIJLA) is a non-profit organization that was inaugurated on April 25, 1981. Originally consisting of a small group of dedicated families, SIIJLA has grown into a vibrant community serving approximately 70-80 families. Through a variety of educational programs, events, and activities, SIIJLA aims to inspire and engage its members in the teachings of Islam.
SIIJLA's center, known as Hussein Imambargah or Husseinia, was established on September 15, 1984, on the 1400th birthday of Imam Hussein AS. The organization offers services such as Friday prayers, Sunday school, Muharram and Ramadan programs, Eid functions, interfaith gatherings, and humanitarian assistance to those in need. With a focus on community growth and prosperity, SIIJLA continues to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all faiths.
