Sheriffs Department

The Yolo County Sheriff s Department provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. It operates field operations, detention, administrative and planning divisions. The department provides administrative, legal personnel, civil, court and animal services. It conducts special weapons and tactics, crisis negotiation, teaching tolerance and field training programs. The Yolo County Sheriff s Department has corrections emergency response and narcotics enforcement teams. It also has an investigative division that conducts investigations, gathers evidence, arrests offenders, and interviews suspects, witnesses and victims. The department intervenes in cases of theft, homicide, fraud, robbery and serious assault. The Yolo County Sheriff s Department is located in Woodland, Calif.
