We have confidence in our abilities as a caretaker and chiropractor to successfully manage patients whose problems range from ordinary to difficult. We use various muscle relaxation techniques, herbs, homeopathy, nutritional counseling, and a fantastic rehabilitative program and facility to compliment our gentle chiropractic touch. Dr. Kan Tsunoda received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. Upon completion of his doctorate, he graduated Salutatorian, Summa Cum Laude as a presidential scholar and a member of the honors fraternity Pi Tau Delta. He is licensed by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Board Certified by National Board of Chiropractic Examiners He and his wife, Tsukasa, have 2 daughters. Tsukasa enjoys being a homemaker and cherishes every moment with her kids and nearby relatives. Leisa is 5 years old and loves to dance, giggle and run. She absolutely loves kindergarten and hopes to be a doctor like Daddy. Sana is 3 years old and loves to make people laugh. She's the silly one in the family. Everything has to be pink or more specifically, dark pink. Dr. Tsunoda specializes in chiropractic care for long-term spinal stabilization. Chiropractic care offers you effective natural treatments which can help to relieve your back, neck and extremity pain. Chiropractic treatments are gentle, specific and scientific and many times alleviates the need for surgery or medications. He continues to attend post graduate seminars to stay current with new research and methods. He hopes to bring a better awareness of wellness and prevention to the community. Dr. Matt Shepherd Dr. Matt Shepherd is the son of Doug and Carollee Shepherd. Their family has been here in the Placerville, El Dorado County area for 35 years. He followed in the footsteps of my siblings Kelly, John, Mark, Tacy, Jared, and Leanne Shepherd at El Dorado High School. It was here that he became an Eagle Scout, played in the EDHS Cougar Band, excelled in various sports, and ultimately met the love of my life. Following a two year service mission in Brazil, he received a bachelors degree from BYU in Portuguese Literature. His family; wife Kristina, and children Soren, Sofia and Oskar then moved to Portland, Oregon where I attended Western States Chiropractic College.
