Shannon Elementary School

Established in 1967, Shannon Elementary School is an educational institution offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for more than 375 students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. It offers classes in English, art, physical education and music. The school also provides instruction in reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. Shannon Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association that organizes cultural programs, potlucks, festival celebrations, fundraising activities, and book and craft fairs. It offers Gifted and Talented Education (G.A.T.E.) program for special-need students. Shannon Elementary School is located in Pinole, Calif., and is a part of the West Contra Costa Unified School District, which serves more than 30,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
