History

With a degree in Fine Arts and as a former Visual Arts teacher in Australia, I loved teaching art and photography to High School seniors before taking leave to have my children. When my babies were born, I made it my mission to capture every moment in their lives and even set up a little studio in my house to practice the studio lighting skills on them that I had been teaching the kids at school. After photographing my own kids, came friends and then after photographing my first newborn I was hooked and never looked back! I wanted to bottle up these emotions for as many new parents as I could so they always remember when they first met. After that, I knew this was what I wanted to do, and I never looked back! I invested heavily in my business with the best equipment out there, filling my studio with beautiful props and I started having extensive training from some of the best newborn and maternity photographers in the country who continue to mentor me today.

Shailee Connolly is an award winning newborn, family and maternity portrait photographer. Her Bay Area studio is located in the Cambrian Park area of San Jose and serves the surrounding Silicon Valley and San Jose area. Shailee loves capturing the love & connections of families in those important stages of their lives. She focuses on vibrant, modern, and beautiful portraits of newborns, babies, children, Mom's-to-be and families.
