Serra High School

Founded in 1950, Junipero Serra High School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for students. It provides Catholic and college-preparatory education, as well as a variety of cultural, recreational and religious programs. It offers classes in art, science, math, social studies and music. The school also provides instruction in biology, algebra, oceanography, French and Spanish. Additionally, its curriculum includes foreign languages, physical education, and visual and performing arts. The school features a library and book store, as well as organizes various athletic activities, including football, cheerleading, baseball, volleyball and cross-country. Located in Gardena, Calif., Junipero Serra High School is operated by the Department of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, which operates several catholic elementary, middle and high schools.
