Established in 1977, Stockdale Christian School is an interdenominational ministry that serves students from more than 100 church fellowships. Stockdale Christian is approved by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Christian Schools and Colleges. The programs offered include Christian training, reading, history, geography, science, handwriting, spelling, English, mathematics, sports and special academic services. It additionally offers computers, physical education, band, music, summer and extended day care, independent study and drama programs. Its Discovery Program utilizes techniques from the National Institute for Learning Disabilities and is designed to stimulate learning in areas where students experience difficulties. The long-term educational therapy is specifically designed for students who have been tested and diagnosed with specific learning disabilities. Its Endeavor Program is designed to assist students in reading by teaching phonemic awareness. This program uses the Lindamood-Bell techniques for teaching phonemic sequencing.
