Schools of the Sacred Heart

Founded by Madeleine Sophie Barat, Schools of the Sacred Heart San Francisco has been operational for more than 100 years. One of the leading Catholic educational institutes in the United States, it comprises a network of more than 20 elementary, middle and high schools. Located in San Francisco, the school enrolls more than 3,5000 students annually. Schools of the Sacred Heart provides educational and cocurricular programs for children in grades kindergarten through eight. Offering a Christ-centered education, the school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, Bible studies, phonics, physical and health education. It also offers fine arts and sports programs, technology training and leadership development opportunities. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and Association of Christian Schools International. Additionally, it offers lunch and breakfast programs and before and after school child care, including science club, music lessons, dance team, primary gymnastics, tutoring and study sessions.
