August Schilling Elementary School, founded in 1960 and located in Newark, Calif., offers classes in grades kindergarten through six, and affiliated with the Newark Unified School District. Its subjects include language, mathematics, science, history, and social sciences. In addition, the school offers classes in vocabulary, including writing, reading and speaking skills in languages, and other subjects, such as geometry, trigonometry, statistics, chemistry, physics, biology, earth science, national and world history, and geography, arts and music.
