History

Salon owners, Nekita and Mattison are second generation South Bay natives. Nekita started her hair career in Beverly Hills training under some of the top color and extension specialists in the industry. After years of learning from the best and commuting in LA, it was time to take all that she learned back to the beach. Mattison's career started in Manhattan Beach where she worked for 12 years before relocating to Hermosa Beach. During that time she also became a lead national educator for Kerastase, traveling the country teaching classes to other top stylists. The two were married in 2018 and that's when they knew they had to build something for themselves. A safe place for stylists to grow and clients to express themselves. It took a few years to find the perfect location and create the salon of their dreams and finally in June 2021 SANTO opened its doors. Mattison and Nekita feel at home in their new space and can't wait to give back to the community that helped raise them.
