i'd say it only took a good 7-8 years for them to finish the "extra lane." for the years of 2000-2005 i have never seen more than one person working on the giant hole in the middle of the street....

Sweet!!! The right turn from Westwood onto Santa Monica is no longer a deathtrap (for drivers or pedestrians). How badass is that? I'm pretty sure some dying underprivileged kid in Los Angeles...
