Santa Barbara District Attorney Office

Santa Barbara District Attorney is responsible for the enforcement of laws and regulations to ensure the safety of the residents of California. It also investigates and reviews criminal activities and civil violations in order to protect the rights of the citizens. Its office is located in Santa Barbara, Calif., and employs more than 145 professional personnel that include district attorneys, investigation officers, and victim advocates and support staff. Its district attorney office comprises criminal and civil divisions. The criminal division takes up cases involving felony and misdemeanor offenses and operates special units to handle cases of narcotic activities, sexual assault, and gang and domestic violence. Additionally, it operates a special program to provide support and counseling services to the victims of domestic violence and crimes.
