Santa Anita, a thoroughbred horse racetrack, is a Magna Entertainment Corporation facility. MEC is among North America s No. 1 owners and operators of horse racetracks and one of the world's leading suppliers, via simulcasting, of live racing content to the on-track, off-track and account wagering markets. Santa Anita opens annually on December 26, with daily racing continuing through late April. Live racing operates Wednesday through Sunday and on holiday Mondays. The track was opened in 1934 with an attendance of 30,777. Santa Anita occupies more than 320 acres in Arcadia, Calif.
