San Jose Intermediate

Opened in 1962, San Jose Middle School serves more than 500 students in grades six through eight. It offers academic programs in English, social science, mathematics, science and physical education. The school additionally offers the English Language Learners program and after-school support classes. San Jose Middle School also provides gifted and talented education. It offers the Renaissance Program, where eligible students receive cards that can be redeemed for special privileges, such as field trips and on-campus events. In addition, the school operates the Cesar Chavez Club, which teaches humanitarian values to students. San Jose Middle School is located in Novato, Calif., and is a part of the Novato Unified School District.
